Bob finishingSimple routine maintenance of your wood surfaces will preserve the beauty and finish of furniture and cabinetry for many years to come. And, it’s easy to care for your rubbed and waxed finishes.

Generally, all that is required is a dry dusting or buffing with a soft cloth or feather duster. Oils and polishes should never be used as this may cause inconsistency in the sheen or even removal of the waxed surface.

Re-waxing may become necessary if alcohol or cleaners, especially those containing ammonia come in contact with the surface creating dull or cloudy spots.

Once or twice a year, dry buff with a soft cloth. This will not only clean but pick up the sheen of the wood. A little care will keep the finish of the wood looking beautiful for even the next generation to enjoy!
