Gilded Age Grandeur
2007 PRISM Award
GOLD honor
The Reception Hall in a 1929 Georgian Revival mansion was completely renovated to showcase the ornate grandeur of the American Gilded Age and 18th century France. In this stunning collaboration of design, construction, and craftsmanship, the finest materials available were used throughout, including platinum, gold, and silver gilding, custom cut Carrara limestone staircase, and handcrafted bronze doors and railings. Exquisite millwork turned the room into a jewel box with deeply coffered ceilings, paneled wainscoting, intricate neoclassical columns and friezes, and countless hand-carved ornamental period details. The beautifully proportioned, elegant room, decorated with soft, warm colors, is also inviting and intimate.
