We are currently seeking a Manager of Human Resources & Talent Development to join our team. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who is driven by the growth and development of people, while promoting the company culture to attract and retain talent.
Working closely with hiring managers and employees across the organization, you will be instrumental in pushing strategic HR initiatives forward.
Responsibilities:
- Provide an open-door environment in order to effectively resolve employee relations issues
- Collaborate with management on training plans, continuing education, and strategic development programs for departments and individuals
- Train and develop managers to become high-skilled "talent champions" and leaders
- Manage the strategic vision for full-life cycle recruitment across all departments
- Development and coordination of new employee orientation program to ensure a successful onboarding experience
- Provide direction for the HR Assistant on recruiting priorities, process, and applicant tracking
- Drive the annual review process through effective communication and teamwork with managers
- Coordinate with managers to recognize employee performance while addressing improvement needs
- Manage company-wide communication for benefit changes, promotions, and departures
- Collaboration with Controller to review benefit offerings while deciding on plan choices for annual renewals
- Responsible for leave and worker's compensation processes
- Ensure fair and dignified process is followed for departing employees and has all necessary information (COBRA, final pay, etc.)
- Work with Safety Manager and Committee to provide safety training while keeping up with changes in OSHA requirements
- Compliance requirements for benefits reporting, distributions of annual notices etc.
- Monitor and communicates changes in Federal and Massachusetts employment laws
- Assist with planning employee events and activities
- Provide and present material for quarterly company meetings
- Assist Controller on annual audit and reporting requirements
Experience/Skills/Knowledge:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience supporting 100+ employees, preferably a combination of manufacturing and administrative
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of state and federal employment laws
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- HRIS and performance management software experience
- Customer service skills, professional demeanor, comfortable with all types of people, excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to negotiate, influence, resolve conflicts and work effectively with employees, management, vendors
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, anticipate department / individual employee needs
