We are currently seeking a Payroll and Accounts Payable (AP) Administrator to join our Finance Team!
The Payroll and AP Administrator is responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees, and maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations. In addition, they will be responsible for the timely and accurate entry of all payables in our software system. This role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Other Responsibilities Include:
- Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain employee records related to payroll, benefits administration, and tax information.
- Utilize UKG to manage payroll data efficiently
- Process 1099’s
- ACA form preparation
- Enter all Payables transactions
- Enter and reconcile Credit Card Accounts
- Process weekly check run
- Assist with preparation of month end closing
- Prepare and manage Certificates of Insurance (COI’s) for vendors
- Address employee inquiries regarding payroll discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Assist in the development and implementation of payroll policies and procedures to improve efficiency
Education and Other Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- At least 3 years of proven experience as a Payroll and AP Administrator or similar role in a clerical capacity.
- Proficiency in accounting/payroll software including UKG and Deltek Computerease
- Under of general ledger accounting principles
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
